The Biggest Loser Contest

I AM GOING TO LOSE WEIGHT OR DIE TRYING!
Honestly, I picked this picture for a couple of reasons. First, because you can see the girth of me and second, because the person that I love most in the world is setting next to me. I know that he will be my biggest supporter and exercise buddy. Not to mention, I plan on spending a lot of time with Jeff and I want desperately to get into shape so that we can do more outings like this together. I love you Jeff!

I am joining The Biggest Loser contest that Weber School District is having for their employees. Although I am not technically an employee, even though I am a sub and they sign my paychecks (go figure), I am going to do it with some of the staff and North Ogden Jr. High. I am really excited about this as I really need to lose several pounds. Hey, gotta start some time! I have all of my Weight Watchers materials and I am really motivated. I figured if I put this on the blog, then I will be even more likely to be successful. I won't tell you my current weight, but I will give you updates on the pounds lost. My goal, although it won't happen by the end of the contest in May is 80 lbs. I will just keep going until I DO lose that much. Send me your positive energy and thoughts!

P.S. Didn't anyone else think the salmon label was funny?!

What's so funny?

I LOVE watching Leno when he does the headlines and funny goofs in the paper. Well, I really had a craving for a salmon sandwich and so I bought a can when I was at Wal-Mart. First off, let me tell you this: DO NOT BUY WAL-MART BRAND CANNED SALMON!!!!!!!YUCK! It was full of bones & fish skin. I had never had canned salmon before until my in-laws gave us some from Costco. It was fabulous and not one bone or scale in sight. Just yummy, yummy salmon.
Anywho..................after I was disgusted by the contents, the back of the can caught my eye and Katelyn and I just busted out laughing. Check it out!
I am pretty sure if you are allergic, you wouldn't be buying it!
If you have heard Bill Engvall, you will get this: "Here's your sign!"
I'm sending the label into Leno.

Still Sweeties after all these years!

I got a chance to visit my mom and dad this past week and my sister Dianna gave our mom a perm. She looked so pretty and I got these shots of her with our dad. They are priceless!
Jeff and I have this little thing that we we say back and forth to each other, "I love you." I love you more." "I love you most.", etc. Well, I said, "I love you" to my mom and she said, "I love you too." I said, "I love you most." and her reply was, "You probably do!" I started laughing so hard. Every once in awhile, her little spunky personality peeks out. I cherish those moments as they are getting fewer. We ALL do!
Thank you for being such wonderful examples!
