Aren't these two pictures precious?! Dad, I love you so much and know how you must hurt inside each time you visit mom and not having her with you. Thank you for showing and teaching all of us the true meaning of compassion, service, charity and eternal love.

Thanks Dianna for taking care of mom's hair and everything else you do for her. No one does her hair like you do. While Dianna was doing mom's hair, the song from Titanic came on and there was not a dry eye from any of us.

Father's Day

Grandma & Grandpa Storey (Great) came by so Megan and Jared brought the kids over. I didn't get a single picture of Jerry and Nedra, but got these two cuties.

Day with Preston

Preston and I had such a fun day together. We went and fed the ducks, seagulls and muskrats over at Centennial Park, we went and kicked the soccer ball around at the park, he played with some other kids at the park, did crafts and made cookies. It was a great day and we are going to try and do it at least once a week. He is such a smart little man.

These are the baby muskrats. The mom was at least 3 times as big. There were about 4-5 babies. It kinda grossed me out thinking about anything with the name "rat" in it. Oh well, he had a great time!

It's been quite a week!

My baby!

Katelyn went to girls camp last week and had a great time. These are just a couple of her pics and I am sure she will put more on her blog. I love this young lady. She is a joy to have in our family and is the icing on our family cake. I can't imagine how different our lives would be without her. I love you sweetie and I am glad you had a wonderful time!

The Curb and Gutter Saga Continues

Honestly, the company that has been working in front of my house has done a great job and actually it has moved along quickly. Yesterday morning as I was leaving for breakfast with the girls, they were driving on my new driveway in a huge front end loader with a big bucket of dirt. We have't even driven on it as it was just poured a week ago and we wanted to keep it clean so that we could seal it in a couple of weeks. They were just on the end and I looked at the guy and said, "So I guess we can drive on it now?" He just shook his head yes. When I got home a couple of hours later, this is what I found. Crap dirt, filled with a boat load of rocks. It is supposed to be top soil and all of the these marks on our driveway along with big oils drips! My blood pressure went up a tad and I called the city to make sure that it wasn't them who was doing the work. No, it was the same company that poured the driveway and curb and gutter.

Now, I know that we will leave some marks and perhaps drip oil on it when we start using it, but don't you think that we should have been able to do that?! We have been babying this driveway and wanted to seal it in a couple of weeks. For heavens sake, they could have dumped the dirt on the corner from the street and used wheel barrows to move the dirt around! They did the same thing on our neighbors new drive way. We have waited for 16 years for this?

Check this beauty out! They cracked the c & g approach for the driveway. When I pointed it out to the worker, he said that is the city's responsibility and they would have to fix it. I looked at him like, are you serious? You just poured it last week and no one had driven on it until you did in your huge oil dripping truck. You broke it, you FIX it! The city came and looked at it and they are a bit angry and said that they would not accept the job. They told me that if they can't clean it up, they will make them replace it. Our yard looks like crap and we were really looking forward to start working on it. Oh well, in the grand scheme of things......and I am sure that when the owner of the company see it, and he will because he is meeting the city officials out here today, he will make it right.

Well, it looked really nice for about a week!

FRIENDS & BIRTHDAYS

These are just four of the best friends that any person could ever wish to have. l-r Sandie Carpenter, Debbie Hepworth, Kathy Black and Debbie Malan.

It was Kathy's B-Day and we all got together for breakfast. Something that we have been doing for years for each of our birthdays. (Thank you Debbie M. for making the arrangements and keeping track all these years!) We ate at the Pleasant Valley Golf Course and the food was deeeeelish! I can't wait to go back there with my bestest buddy, Jeff!

We did ask someone to take a pic with me in it and she must not have pressed the button hard enough because when I went to put them on, they were not there. Really! Thanks ladies for a wonderful morning and for loving me regardless of my faults. You are all the BEST!

THE BEST GIFT!

If I die tomorrow, I got the greatest gift possible yesterday. My mom said to me, "I Love You!" You need to understand that mom hasn't been doing well lately and really declining. She doesn't talk much any more and if she does, it is usually just a few words here or there. Deneice and I were talking and we said that we wished that we could hear her say that she loved us just one more time.

This past week I picked up my dad and took him to Island Park for a few days so that he (we) could go fishing, eat great food and even we even went to The Playmill Theater in West Yellowstone. It was great and he had a nice break and was able to think of other things. (Thanks again Pat and Deneice) When we stopped by the care center on our way home, I gave mom a hug, told her that I loved her and she told me "I love you" back. I started crying and was so happy so hear that again.

So, all of you reading this, you can NEVER, EVER say I LOVE YOU enough! And cherish every one that you get. We never know what will happen tomorrow or even later on today, so always let those around you know it!
